TCC / Special Seminar The Formation of the First Stars: Simulations on a Moving Mesh [abstract] I will introduce the recently developed moving-mesh code AREPO and its
numerical implementation, and present some interesting test simulations.
I will discuss the differences compared to commonly used SPH and AMR
codes, and why AREPO is ideally suited for self-gravitating systems. Finally, I
will present an application of the code to the formation of the first stars,
and discuss some of our newest results. Thomas Greif, Max Planck Institut for Astrophysics, Garching, Germany |
